Hiring an Offshore Staff is Good, but Two or More is Better—Here’s Why

Hiring an Offshore Staff is Good, but Two or More is Better---Here’s Why - Techno Global Team

Going minimalist when hiring people seems like a great way to save money and get things done.  But, there are several compelling reasons why hiring more than one for operational roles can be incredibly beneficial.

First and foremost, operational roles are business roles within a company that are crucial to day-to-day activities. This may include IT support engineers, accountants, administrative assistants, marketing specialists, and others.

For most businesses, a huge part of your growth or success is dependent on the quality of your staff. Hiring the right people is critical to delivering top-notch services to your clients, however, hiring more than one staff member in a role is just as important.

If you haven’t upped your recruitment processes yet, now’s the time to do so, and it should include becoming more strategic.

Increase Team Productivity

When you have multiple employees in each role, you can distribute workloads more evenly and ensure that tasks are completed on time.

Not only can this lead to higher efficiency and faster project completion but it prevents burnout among your staff as well. Your team can provide better service to your clients when they are well-rested and motivated.

More Coverage

One of the main reasons why it is so important to have multiple staff members in a role is to ensure that there is always someone available to handle any issue or task that arises.

If there is only one person responsible for a particular area, such as customer service or technical support, and that person becomes unavailable for any reason, there can be serious consequences.

The result can be a delay in response times, unresolved issues, and a loss of trust and confidence from clients.

Increased Knowledge Base and Wider Skillsets

Hiring more than one allows you to tap into a wider and more diverse range of skills and expertise. In the rapidly evolving MSP industry, it is crucial to have access to a diverse pool of talents and innovative ideas to meet the demands for new and effective solutions.

Each employee brings unique skills and experiences to the table, which can be beneficial for tackling complex projects or addressing unexpected challenges.

In addition, there is a greater likelihood of discovering new approaches and solutions to problems, resulting in a more comprehensive and effective service offering.

Through this approach, you’re able to establish a more well-rounded team with a diverse set of perspectives.

What is also beneficial is that with more of the lower tasks absorbed by operational roles, it gives managers and upper-level roles the chance to focus on the core business, or learn new skills.

Increase Collaboration

Better collaboration and communication are also one of the benefits of having multiple staff members per role.

When there are multiple people working on a project or task, they can share ideas, provide feedback, and work together to find solutions. This can lead to more effective problem-solving and better outcomes for your business.

Improve Team Morale

The demand for MSP services can be high, and with only one staff member in the role, they may feel overwhelmed or overworked. By spreading the workload across a team of professionals, we can ensure that everyone has a manageable workload, reducing the risk of burnout and increasing job satisfaction.

Of course, managing multiple staff members in a role requires careful planning and management, and some may be concerned about the additional cost of hiring more staff. However, in the long run, it can actually save you money. For example, if one person were to become overwhelmed with work and make a mistake, it could cost your business a lot more money than if you had hired an additional person to share the workload.

Here are some tips so you can properly execute this strategy.

  1. Make sure that you are hiring the right people for the job. Look for individuals who have the right skills—both soft and technical—and can work well as a team.
  2. As soon as you hire multiple staff, make sure to distribute the workload fairly and establish clear communication channels and expectations from the outset.
  3. Consider offshoring. There are many skilled professionals located in other countries who can work remotely and provide valuable support to your team. This can be a great way to hire additional staff members without breaking the bank.
